Licensed professionals complete critical repairs and more minor repairs with teams of community volunteers.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Meeting these qualifications DOES NOT GUARANTEE that you will be chosen for one of our programs.

 

WHAT WE OFFER:

Depending on your home’s repair needs, you may qualify for one or both of the following programs:

Critical Home Repair Program

Funded primarily by the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, this program focuses on essential repairs to improve home safety and accessibility. Typical services include roof repairs, heating and cooling system upgrades, mold remediation, plumbing repairs, wheelchair ramp installations, tub-to-shower conversions, and more.

Volunteer Repair Program

Our volunteer build days unite companies, faith-based organizations, and civic groups to complete volunteer-friendly projects. Typical projects include yard work, painting, railing repairs, minor plumbing repairs, and other tasks that enhance the home’s livability.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  •  Must live in the service area/targeted community specified
  • Must own the home that you live in 
  • Must earn less than 80% of Richmond’s area medium income (AMI)  
  • Other locality-specific requirements (ex., utilities are current, must have homeowners insurance, etc.)
