Critical Home Repairs

Throughout the year, RT RVA hires licensed contractors to provide critical repair services:

Safe, stable housing is the foundation for health, independence, and dignity. Yet for many of our neighbors, years of wear and tear leave homes with serious issues—leaky roofs, unsafe wiring, failing floors, or outdated systems—that threaten both safety and stability.

Rebuilding Together Richmond’s Critical Home Repair Program addresses these challenges head-on. By providing licensed trade professionals and coordinated repair services, we deliver essential fixes that go beyond what volunteers alone can provide. These repairs protect vulnerable homeowners—especially seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities—so they can remain in the homes and communities they love.

Through this program, we focus on lasting solutions: repairing roofs, replacing HVAC systems, upgrading plumbing and electrical work, and addressing other urgent needs that make the difference between unsafe housing and a secure, healthy home. Every repair is an investment in safety, dignity, and community strength.

RT RVA is always seeking new partners to help us strengthen homes and communities. Our Critical Home Repair Program relies on skilled trade professionals who possess the licensed expertise necessary for major projects, including roofing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and more.

If you are a licensed contractor or professional interested in using your skills to support local homeowners, we would love to connect with you. Partnering with RT RVA means making a tangible difference in the lives of seniors, veterans, and families who deserve to live safely and independently in their own homes.
